“Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale? Who is able to advise the Spirit of the Lord? Who knows enough to give Him advice or teach Him? Has the Lord ever needed anyone’s advice? Does he need instructions about what is good? Did someone teach Him what is right or show Him the path of justice? No, for all the nations of the world are but a drop in a bucket. They are nothing more than dust on the scales. He picks up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand.” – Isaiah 40:12-15

This is a pretty humbling passage to read, in times when we think we have things all figured out. If we truly believe God is above all and knows all, shouldn’t we make Him the first that we go to with everything?

No one can compare to Him.

He doesn’t need our advice.

He is faithful to do what He said He would do.

He knows justice and orchestrates it as He sees fit.

He holds us all in the palms of His hand.

What an amazing God we have!

Father.

Son.

Holy Spirit.

God has no equal.

But it doesn’t end there…

He graciously loved us enough to give us part of Himself. The person of the Holy Spirit living inside us to guide us into all truth. Exposing all that isn’t His best for us, while moving us towards what He knows the Father has planned-out for us.

He is our Comforter.

Counselor.

Helper.

Intercessor.

Advocate.

Strengthener.

Standby.

Remembrance of Jesus in our lives.

“Father thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit that you’ve given me. Holy Spirit guide me. Direct my path. Counsel me in the ways of truth and remove anything in me that isn’t rooted in the Word of Truth. Increase my faith and strengthen me. As I spend time in your presence, reveal to me how I can give more of myself to You. May Your will alone be done in my life. In Jesus name, Amen!”
